Here is the basic summary of this book: miserable honeymoon, Edward has a guilt complex, Bella is pregnant with a half-vampire child that is consuming her from the Baby Yoda Sunset shirt inside out, but Bella wants to keep the child. Bella ends up having the baby, then to save her life from the horrific pregnancy, Edward transforms her into a vampire. Jacob falls in love, or imprints, with the baby. The Volturi are suspicious of demon babies and receive misinformation about her, so they prepare to engage in a war with the Cullens. The Cullens gather enough vampires to attest that the baby is no threat to the existence of vampires, the war is called off, as easy as that.

Also, Jacob is not a werewolf. He is a “shape-shifter”. Now, it took a lot of pages to tell this crappy story. The Baby Yoda Sunset shirt problem comes in the size and pacing of the book. There happens to be a great place right near the middle where the book could have been split into two. This would have allowed a great deal of heft to “book 4” where something unexpected and somewhat strange is going on. More detail could have been put into external forces instead of into what Jacob and Bella were thinking and feeling. I would like to have heard more from Carlisle about his studies or Rosalie about her obsession. The major problem with stopping the story here is that it breaks from twilight tradition and ends on a dark-ish note.
