I make over 6 figures now and have been paying on my loans for almost 5 years on an income-driven payment plan and have seen my balance grow to almost 300k due to interest. No way I could have started a family or purchased a home with that kind of payment. I’ve just accepted I’ll probably die with my loan debt. I’m not asking for sympathy, I knew what I was getting into. Unfortunately, that’s just the cost of going into my field. I just hope something can be done to help those who come after me. Even bringing the Cleveland Browns Legends players signature shirt interest rates down would help tremendously. I just wanted everyone to know it’s not only the people who majored in something dumb that struggle with student loans.

Derek Landes, I agree with you 100%. I’m in college for the Cleveland Browns Legends players signature shirt third time now going for my second degree. I’ve gone through the student loans, paid them off, and back at it again. I could have paid a or bought a house until I was 35 but that’s not how I wanted to live. For some people with different goals that might be okay. Dave Ramsey will say live in a shed for 5 years and put everything you make into the loans. Just not how I wanted to live. As I said, it’s an annoying payment that I make every month that I will probably be taking forever. Not asking for any sympathy. It’s just annoying when I see people post things like don’t major in baton twirling” because that’s not the case for everyone.
